1. Who we are

This website is published under the developer name FRQNCY and is operated by FRQNCY LLP, a limited liability partnership with its registered business address at 380 S 400 E APT 702, Salt Lake City - 84111-2946, United States (US). FRQNCY LLP provides computer integrated systems design services for broadcast and media signal workflows, including signal system blueprints, studio integration planning, broadcast workflow design, media network layouts, hardware selection programs and support and tuning retainers.

In this Privacy Policy, the terms we, us and our refer to FRQNCY LLP. The terms you and your refer to any person who visits this website, communicates with us, requests a proposal, engages our services or otherwise interacts with the firm. The term services refers to the design, planning, documentation and support work that FRQNCY LLP performs for clients, together with the information published on this website.

FRQNCY LLP is responsible for deciding how personal information is processed in connection with this website and the services described on it. If you have any question about this policy or about the way the firm handles personal information, you may contact the privacy contact named at the end of this document.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy describes the personal information that FRQNCY LLP collects through this website, through email correspondence, through telephone calls and through the delivery of professional services. It explains why the firm collects that information, how it is used, with whom it may be shared and what choices are available to you.

This policy applies to information collected in the course of commercial and professional activity. It does not apply to information that FRQNCY LLP may receive in a personal capacity, nor to information held by third parties whose own privacy policies govern their handling of data. Where a client engagement requires the processing of personal information on behalf of that client, the terms of the relevant engagement letter and any accompanying data processing agreement take precedence over this policy for that processing.

Certain records may be maintained in formats that are not part of this website, including printed survey notes, bench records and signed engagement documents. Those records follow the same principles described here, subject to any additional requirement imposed by professional practice, contract or applicable law.

3. Information we collect

FRQNCY LLP collects only the information that is reasonably necessary to answer enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver services and maintain accurate business records. The categories of information that may be collected are described below.

3.1 Information you provide directly

3.2 Information collected automatically

3.3 Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from your colleagues, from a referring supplier, from a trade event organizer or from publicly available professional directories. Where we receive information from another source, we use it only for the purpose for which it was shared and treat it in accordance with this policy.

FRQNCY LLP does not seek to collect sensitive personal information such as health records, biometric identifiers or information about political or religious beliefs. Please do not send such information to us unless it is strictly necessary for a specific engagement and you have been asked to provide it in writing.

4. How information is collected

Most information reaches FRQNCY LLP because you choose to send it. The contact form on this website prepares a message in your own email application and sends it to media@frqncy.buzz; the form does not transmit or store data on a third party server. When you send that message, your email provider and our email provider process the content in the ordinary course of delivery.

Information is also collected when you call the firm at +19183728767, when you exchange documents during a proposal or engagement, when you attend a site survey and when you subscribe to updates that the firm may offer from time to time. Server logs are generated automatically whenever a page is served, and those logs may include the technical information described in the previous section.

Some information is created by FRQNCY LLP itself during the delivery of services. Examples include survey notes, measured values recorded on a tuning sheet, correspondence logs and project files. These records are created to support the professional work and to preserve an accurate history of the room for future visits.

6. Purposes of processing

FRQNCY LLP uses personal information for the following purposes.

We do not use personal information for automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use personal information to train third party generative models. We do not sell personal information to any person or organization.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file that a website places on a device to remember information between visits. FRQNCY LLP uses a limited number of cookies and similar storage mechanisms. Strictly necessary cookies support the basic operation of the site, such as remembering a preference during a visit. Preference cookies may remember display choices so that a returning visitor does not have to set them again.

Where the firm uses measurement cookies, they are configured to limit the data they collect and are never used to build advertising profiles. You can control cookies through the settings of your browser. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete existing cookies or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Blocking all cookies may affect the way some parts of the website behave, but it will not prevent you from reading the published pages.

This website does not use advertising cookies, cross site tracking pixels or social media tracking buttons. If this changes in a future revision of the site, this policy will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested before any non essential cookie is set.

8. Analytics and measurement

FRQNCY LLP may use a privacy respecting analytics service to understand which pages are visited and how visitors find the site. Analytics data is reviewed in aggregate to decide which pages need clearer writing, which services need better explanation and whether the site remains fast and accessible on common devices.

Analytics records are not used to identify individual visitors, to serve advertising or to build profiles that follow a person across other websites. Where an analytics provider processes information on behalf of the firm, the provider is bound by a data processing agreement that limits use of the data to the measurement service and requires appropriate security measures.

Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Log entries may include internet protocol addresses, but they are not combined with contact records or used to infer the identity of a visitor who has not otherwise contacted the firm.

9. How we share information

FRQNCY LLP does not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information is shared only in the limited circumstances described below.

Where a supplier processes personal information on behalf of FRQNCY LLP, the firm requires appropriate contractual terms, confidentiality obligations and security controls. Suppliers are not permitted to use client information for their own marketing or for any purpose beyond the service they provide to the firm.

10. Service providers and processors

The firm works with a small set of service providers so that the practice can run reliably. These providers include an email host that delivers messages sent to media@frqncy.buzz, a web host that serves the pages on this site, an accounting platform used to issue invoices and a document storage service used to keep project files secure.

Each provider is selected with attention to its security posture, its data location and its record of reliability. The firm reviews provider arrangements from time to time and replaces a provider if its practices no longer meet the standard the firm expects. Clients who need details about a specific provider for their own compliance review may request the relevant information by writing to media@frqncy.buzz.

Some providers may engage their own subprocessors. Where that happens, the primary provider remains responsible to FRQNCY LLP for the performance of the subprocessor and for compliance with the agreed data protection terms.

11. International data transfers

FRQNCY LLP is based in the United States, and the information described in this policy is generally processed within the United States. Some service providers may store or process information in other countries. Where information is transferred across borders, the firm takes reasonable steps to ensure that it remains protected in a manner consistent with this policy.

Those steps may include relying on a provider that has adopted approved contractual clauses, selecting a provider with data centers in jurisdictions that offer an adequate level of protection, or applying additional safeguards such as encryption in transit and at rest. You may ask for more information about the safeguards used for a particular transfer by contacting the privacy contact named at the end of this document.

Because the firm serves clients across the United States and occasionally abroad, project files may be accessed by a designer working from a temporary location. Access remains subject to the same confidentiality obligations and security controls that apply in the bench room.

12. Retention periods

FRQNCY LLP keeps personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as the law requires. The periods below describe the ordinary practice of the firm; a specific engagement may require a different period, which will be stated in the engagement letter.

When a retention period ends, information is deleted or irreversibly anonymized. Where deletion is not immediately possible because information is held in a backup, the backup is protected and the information is removed when the backup cycle completes.

13. Security measures

FRQNCY LLP applies technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against accidental loss, unauthorized access, alteration and disclosure. Measures include encrypted connections to the website, access controls that limit who can reach project files, strong authentication for business accounts, regular software updates and a practice of keeping paper survey notes in a locked cabinet in the bench room.

Staff and contractors receive only the access they need to do their work. Confidentiality obligations are part of every engagement and every supplier agreement. Devices used for project work are protected with full disk encryption and screen locks, and removable media is used only where a client requires it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While the firm takes the protection of personal information seriously, it cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects personal information, the firm will investigate promptly, take steps to contain the incident, and notify affected persons and authorities where the law requires it.

14. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information.

To exercise a right, write to media@frqncy.buzz with enough detail for the firm to identify the information concerned. The firm will respond within the period required by applicable law, generally within thirty days. A response may be delayed where a request is complex or where the firm receives a large number of requests, in which case you will be told why and when to expect a reply.

The firm will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Where a request concerns information that the firm processes on behalf of a client, the firm will refer the request to that client, because the client decides how that information is used.

15. Privacy for children

This website and the services of FRQNCY LLP are intended for professional audiences. The firm does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If you believe that a child has sent personal information to the firm, please write to media@frqncy.buzz so that the information can be removed promptly.

Where a client engagement involves media produced for younger audiences, the firm works only with the organization that holds the production responsibility. The firm does not invite or process information directly from children and does not include material about identifiable minors in design documents beyond what the client supplies and is entitled to share.

16. Marketing communications

FRQNCY LLP sends occasional updates about the firm, its services and its availability for new engagements. These updates are sent only to people who have asked to receive them or to business contacts with whom the firm has an existing relationship, and every message includes a simple way to stop receiving further updates.

You may ask to be removed from a mailing list at any time by replying to a message, by writing to media@frqncy.buzz or by calling +19183728767. A request to stop marketing will not affect messages that are necessary to administer an active engagement or to answer an enquiry you have sent.

17. Third party websites

This website may link to external resources, including supplier documentation, trade bodies and reference material that the firm finds useful. Those websites are operated by other organizations and are governed by their own privacy policies. FRQNCY LLP is not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of an external site.

We encourage you to read the privacy notice of any external site before providing personal information to it. A link from this site does not imply that FRQNCY LLP endorses the practices of the linked organization.

18. Changes to this policy

FRQNCY LLP may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the services, in technology or in the law. When a change is made, the revised policy is published on this page with a new last updated date. Where a change materially affects how information is handled, the firm will take reasonable steps to bring the change to the attention of people who have an active relationship with the firm.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. The version published on this website is the version in force at the time of your visit, and continued use of the site after a revision indicates that you have had the opportunity to read the revised policy.

19. How to contact us

Questions, requests and concerns about this Privacy Policy may be sent to the privacy contact at FRQNCY LLP. Please include enough detail for the firm to understand the matter and to reply in a useful way.

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, you may raise the matter with the data protection authority that applies in your jurisdiction. The firm will cooperate with a competent authority during any review of its practices.
